Temporary injectable wrinkle fillers are made of different kinds of natural or synthetic materials that are broken down and eventually absorbed by your body. As a result, wrinkle correction is only temporary and you may need repeat injections several months after the initial treatment to maintain your wrinkle correction. Artefill is different. The unique microspheres are not absorbed by your body and work with your skin to produce collagen which provides the support your skin needs for natural, long lasting results.

The skin test is a safety precaution to ensure that you are not allergic to the collagen in Bellafill.

Most people get the results they want with one or more treatments, depending on the depth of their wrinkles and folds. When you have your follow-up appointment, you and your provider can decide if you would like to further enhance your results.

Just like any injection, you may experience mild irritation, swelling, itching, redness, bruising or tenderness at the injection site. These side effects typically resolve on their own. If any of these side effects persist, call your doctor immediately.

There is very little to no downtime associated with a BELOTERO procedure. In fact, most patients return to their normal daily activities right after their visit. Every patient is unique, so be sure to discuss your plans with your doctor during your consultation.

Instantly! Immediately upon injection when treated to full correction, BELOTERO plumps the skin and smoothes away lines and wrinkles.

Individual results may vary, but BELOTERO may last about 6 months or more.

Treatments are simple and take only a few minutes. No preparation is needed prior to a treatment. No sedation or local anesthesia is required, allowing you to resume normal activities immediately.

Treatments are a highly effective means of reducing facial wrinkles leading to a more youthful pleasant appearance. The majority of patients find that their results continue to improve with sequential treatments.

Treatments generally last between 3 to 6 months. Each sequential treatment tends to last longer.

When it enters a muscle, some nerve impulses to contract the muscle are blocked. As the muscle weakens, the overlying skin relaxes and wrinkles disappear.

Most of these products have been safely used for over a decade. The most common side effect is slight bruising at the injection site. Rarely, will it cause weakness to adjacent muscles, resulting in a drooping eyelid. This condition is temporary and can be treated with eye drops.

During treatment, the crystal-clear Juvederm® gel is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The gel produces volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. When enhancing lips or facial contours, Juvederm® adds volume and shape to the treated area.

Immediately after the treatment, you can expect slight redness, swelling, tenderness or an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injection. The discomfort is temporary and generally disappears in a few days. After a lip treatment, the lips may become swollen and look somewhat uneven. This can persist for a few days (up to a week). If the discomfort continues, please contact your nurse or physician.

Treatment with Juvederm® is a very quick and easy process. As no pre-test is needed, the treatment can be carried out immediately. A treatment generally takes 30 minutes. The time differs somewhat, depending on the correction you wish to have performed.

During the first 48 hours after your treatment, do not massage or rub the treated area. If you have had a lip enhancement, avoid puckering your lips for the first two days after the treatment. Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (e.g. in a solarium or by sunbathing) or extreme cold.

Juvederm® does dissolve naturally with time. However, an enzyme called Hyaluronidase can be injected into the area where Juvederm® was injected to dissolve the filler more quickly. The process of completely dissolving filler can take several weeks and more than one treatment. If you feel uncertain about the desired result, you can choose to have the treatment done in steps on different occasions.

NovaThreads are an alternative to filler injectables. They are made of  Polydioxanone which is used for biomedical applications, particularly in cardiothoracic surgery because it can be fully absorbed by the body.

NovaThreads are needles that are pre-loaded with a thread. Simply insert the whole needle in the interstitial tissue at subdermal level, parallel to the surface of the skin, & pull the needle out. The thread then stays in the skin and is slowly absorbed by the body!

After being inserted into the interstitial tissue,  the thread will be absorbed within 4 to 6 months. The foreign body stimulates collagen synthesis & the skin structure created will hold for another 12 to 15 months.

Radiesse® works with your body, below the skin’s surface. It is an injectable filler made of synthetic minerals. A gel carrier delivers the particles and holds them in place. When injected, the gel carrier creates a temporary fill, lasting anywhere from three to six months. The calcium particles left behind create a scaffold for your tissue to build around which creates the longer term fill.

Radiesse® is composed of tiny microspheres of a synthetic material called calcium hydroxylapatite that is combined with a common hydrogel used in a vast array of products. The result is a white, creamy substance with similar structural characteristics as bone and teeth.

For facial contouring, Radiesse® can be used for smoothing and contouring smile lines or nasolabial folds; acne scarring; cheek, chin or jawline augmentation; or non-surgical rhinoplasty.

Radiesse® allows you to resume your daily activities immediately. You may experience some mild swelling or redness at the injection site that typically last no longer than a day.

One treatment may last a year or longer. By having a touch-up treatment, results may last 18 months to two years.

Restylane® and Restylane® Lyft work immediately by adding volume to smooth away wrinkles. A clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, Restylane is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own hyaluronic acid, and eventually breaks down naturally.

Individual results vary, but Restylane® generally lasts between 6 and 12 months, depending on the area treated and the amount injected.

After treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, or tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 days in lips. Swelling may be more likely in patients under 35 years, and bruising may be more likely in patients over 35 years.

Treatment with Restylane® is a very quick and easy process.

Sculptra Aesthetic works within the deep dermis. Your skin’s structure is reinforced as Sculptra Aesthetic helps to replace lost collagen. This reinforced collagen structure provides a foundation that gradually restores the look of fullness to the deep facial wrinkles and folds that has been depleted over time. Sculptra Aesthetic is different because it gradually and subtly corrects these facial wrinkles. This can provide a refined, more youthful looking appearance that can last more than two years.

A discussion with a medical provider is a great way to get more information about Sculptra Aesthetic. It’s good to start thinking about what you want to get out of your anti-aging treatment. For example, with Sculptra Aesthetic, you get a natural-looking appearance without looking like you’ve had work done. And the results can last more than 2 years.

Sculptra Aesthetic is used to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds, which are treated with the appropriate injection technique. Sculptra Aesthetic is suitable for:

  • Deep folds between the nose and the mouth (nasolabial folds) also called smile lines
  • The lines framing your mouth (marionette lines)
  • Chin wrinkles

Sculptra Aesthetic is FDA approved in the United States and has been used worldwide since 1999. Sculptra Aesthetic is made of a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid that is absorbed naturally by the body — and has been used for years in dissolvable stitches. Side effects reported include injection site pain, redness, bruising, bleeding, or swelling. Small bumps under the skin that can sometimes be noticeable when pressing on the treated area may also occur. Larger lumps, with or without inflammation, have also been reported. Other side effects may include the delayed development of non-visible, small bumps under the skin sometimes noticeable when pressing on the treated area.
