Less common
Temporary injury to the nerve near the jaw, causing an uneven smile, or difficulty swallowing. Both are usually temporary.
Downtime
Plan for visible swelling for up to a week after each session.
Not advised if
You are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an infection in the area, or have trouble swallowing. Loose skin may need a different approach.
Aftercare & Results Timeline
First 72 hours
Significant swelling, warmth and firmness under the chin are expected. Cold compresses help, and a chin strap is optional for comfort.
Days 4 to 14
